Growing up, I have always been immersed in television and movies in the Philippines. And I still remember Snooky Serna, or "Cookie" as she was called back then. (wait, why do I KNOW all this information?)

She was young, and in my opinion, one of the prettiest faces in Pinoy showbiz when I was growing up. She had a good career in TV and movies, and even starred in the classic "Blusang Itim", a haunting story about a disfigured girl who discovers beauty for a few hours through a magical mirror. Or was it a magical blouse(hence the title?) Oh well, my point is that she was a good actress and had a promising future ahead of her.

Well this morning as I scoured the web for local news in my home country, I stumbled upon this article about Snooky and how she is doing now.

Needless to say, it is full of life’s lessons. Such as:

1. The future is never secure
2. You need to SAVE. Now.
3. You need to continue to work hard and learn new things
4. You need God in your life
