First memories of FCPP

Ahhh. The agony! Slept through most of the evening with goo dripping down my nose, my brain half-conscious and fighting fever and chills. "I can’t get sick" I keep telling myself. I won’t. Refuse to lose!
Oh well, woke up today and dropped by the Family Mart convenience store to pick up some Vitamin C drinks, and some fruit. I am fighting this thing baby!
Saw a bunch of pictures of my friends from Fujitsu. James, Pete, Joman, Joel, Obias etc.. WOW! Brings back so much memories. Good times mga pare ko!
Right after finishing college at Don Bosco, I joined Fujitsu Computer Products of the Philippines(FCPP). Out of 800 applicants, there were about 61 of us that were selected after going through three rounds of interviews. We were the first batch of engineers hired by Fujitsu. Me and my buddy Pedro (who later changed his name to "Pete") made the cut. How we did it? That was the million dollar question. In fact most people in our school during the graduation ceremonies could not believe that me and Pedro made it. Ha ha! Others that came from Don Bosco included Charlemagne "Teng" Vicente, Yul Sabio, Van "Gwapo Time" Miranda, Allan Obias(who was also a co-instructor of mine at the Technical Faculty, working under living legend Master Mefragata), Richard Chua and Alvin Manager Mantilla.
For those of you who don’t know, Don Bosco was an all boy’s Catholic School back then. So like most of the guys who made the cut, we never had a chance to be in the same room with members of the opposite sex. So imagine the awe and fascination that losers like me and Pedro felt when we entered the room at Ateneo Business School for our orientation/pre training. There were girls! "Hey that girl looks like Aiko" Pete would say. "Hey that one looks like Carmina" I would quip back. Wow wow wee! Good times indeed.
Anyway, that was the start of my Fujitsu career. So many things happened, so many adventures and rich experiences. I ended up working for FCPP for four(4) years.
To all my Fujitsu friends….musta na ba kayo? Kelan reunion?
By the way I managed to dig up some old FCPP Pics: Check them out:
